RM is a recognised leader in global EdTech, where the market is forecast to grow by $170bn over the next five years. By partnering with educators and accreditors, it empowers customers to embrace digital learning, assessment and marking, bringing impactful teaching, accurate assessment and fair accreditation to the world of education.

In the last few years, RM has been on a journey of transformation, with a new strategy and business model, and the launch of an AI-powered platform designed to lead customers on a path to digital assessment maturity.

The Annual Report 2024 played a key role in making this transformed business not only understandable to stakeholders but also credible and inspiring. In partnership with the RM team, we delivered – helping to fuel belief in the company and, ultimately, making it more investible.

Chapter Two

A new platform – an engine for growth

At the centre of the transformation story is the Global Accreditation Platform (since renamed RM Ava), which is designed to help customers transition from paper to digital, and provides a complete end-to-end accreditation solution. We made the business understandable through a revised business model showing how this new AI-powered platform enables integration of all assessment tools into a single system.

We made the transformation message credible in a special feature explaining how RM is harnessing technology to modernise learning experiences for a changing world. Case studies reinforced the message by telling the stories behind long-term contracts with high profile customers such as The International Baccalaureate and Cambridge University Press & Assessment.

Chapter 3

Standing out in a crowded market

The global EdTech market is huge and growing but competition is fierce. Further credibility comes from an understanding of what differentiates RM from its peers and we provided it in a section outlining the Group’s unique and refreshed strategy and specific disclosure of RM’s competitive advantage in a Group at a Glance.

RM’s Annual Report 2024 marked a turning point in its business and a step change in how it communicates with stakeholders. Its recent transformation, coupled with the implementation of a new brand, combined to create a powerful and effective account of past performance, current strategy and prospects in the short, medium and long term. Messages in the report are focused and clear, and the content easily navigable, providing a strong platform on which to build future reporting.
