We are looking for an astute and passionate full-stack web developer with an eye for detail and a flair for creative solutions.

To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate strong front and back end development skills and experience of working with open source CMS platforms. You will have experience of working independently as well as within a small development team to varied and challenging objectives. You should be a good communicator, keen problem solver and enjoy tackling new challenges.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • To develop a range of front end and back end functionality as per design specification and consulting requirements.
  • To build and develop corporate websites and new functionality, optimising code, making recommendations for improvements and ensuring work is fully tested and functional before release.
  • To setup and maintain SQL databases, as well as deploy and configure websites.
  • To work with the sales team and communicate with clients to offer advice, support and explain functionality, as well as delivering assistance by carrying out ad-hoc amends and updates to existing websites.
  • To keep up-to-date with industry developments and offer insight and support for making our websites better and ultimately delivering better service to our clients.

Required skills

  • Fluent in HTML and CSS
  • Good knowledge of JavaScript and able to take a framework approach
  • Good understanding of responsive web design and development, as well as experience of cross-browser and cross-platform testing
  • Good understanding of C# and Razor syntax
  • Good understanding of SQL 
  • Experience of developing websites using a CMS system
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to plan your own work effectively and prioritise your workload

Desirable skills

  • Experience using Microsoft SQL Management Server
  • Understanding of SEO and knowledge of industry standard coding practices
  • Experience using Umbraco CMS
  • Experience using jQuery 
  • Experience developing MVC based web solutions
  • Knowledge of AngularJS
  • Experience of SASS/LESS

Remuneration
