Legislation, Regulators and Listing Rules
Our survival guides will help you to demystify the impact of the latest directives and guidance as well as showing you ways that we can help you to address the legislative requirements.
The Companies Act 2006 and EU Transparency Directive
Capital markets are increasingly international in nature, being an EU listed company you will have an extra layer of regulation dictated by a series of EU Directives and Regulations applied through the FSA and UK government. These will be enforced through a combination of legislation (Companies Act), UKLA rules and those enforced by your exchange (particularly for those companies not on the official list). They mean reporting to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) primarily for the numbers and notes, but additionally your narrative is expanding with the Business Review and comply or explain corporate governance requirements of the Combined Code for main market companies.
There is a huge amount of logic behind these rules which make implementation a truely integrated part of managing your stakeholder relationships and value signalling. Our guides are designed to make your reporting strategy easier to define and practical to execute. But we want you to talk to us as well as to get you to read. We're excited about what these changes will do improve global markets, have a look at the information and call us in for an informal chat.
